There are many things come in round packages or shapes. Unfortunately, these items don’t lend themselves to easy storage in a survival kit. The trick is to think flat because it doesn’t take up as much room and will leave you enough space for other possible items you may need.
One of the most useful items you can have in a survival kit is duct tape. A big roll of duct tape isn’t going to fit in most survival kits. It may also be way more than you might need. Just wrap a few feet lengthwise around an old library card or some other discarded plastic card. You can actually store several feet on an old plastic card and it will only be slightly thicker than a quarter.
It will also be a lot easier to fit in a survival kit.
